II. Who Does this Policy Affect

All current and former students of Henry Ford College

III. Purpose

The College supports the generally applicable practices regarding the transferability of core college credits. In 2014, the College began participating in Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA), which replaced the previously applicable Michigan Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (MACRAO) Transfer Agreement. The MTA is designed to help students transfer from one of Michigan's community colleges to a four-year college or university in the state.

IV. Policy Statement

a. The MACRAO Transfer Agreement can no longer be completed by students as of Fall 2019. If a student started working toward completing the MACRAO Transfer Agreement previously and did not finish, the student should discuss with a College advisor about how to complete the MTA.
b. To fulfill the MTA, students must successfully complete at least 30 credits of coursework in six (6) defined areas with at least the grade of C in each course. The College’s General Education Categories lists which general courses applies to the MTA.
