The Board of Trustees shall comply with all federal and state laws and regulations prohibiting discrimination. It is the policy of the Board that no support staff member or candidate for such a position in this College shall, on the basis of race, sex, age, color, religion, national origin, marital status, political affiliation or belief, weight, height, or handicap, be discriminated against, excluded from participation in, denied the benefits of, or otherwise be subjected to discrimination in any program or activity for which the Board is responsible or for which it receives financial assistance from the U.S. Department of Education.

The College shall appoint a compliance officer whose responsibility it will be to ensure that federal and state regulations are complied with and that any complaints are dealt with promptly in accordance with law.
