504 HFC Policy Committee
The Policy Committee shall be composed of three regular members of the Board and is charged with developing and monitoring the bylaws and policies of the Board. In addition, an alternate member shall be appointed and will attend committee meetings in the absence of a regular member. The Committee shall recommend new and revised policies and bylaws to the Board for its review and consideration including the following:
Establishment of procedures for the periodic reviewing and updating of the Board of Trustees Policy and Bylaws.
Oversight of college administration when it is asked to assist the Committee in carrying out the Board's policy development and monitoring duties.
The appointment, compensation, and oversight of the work of any firm employed by the college to develop proposed new Board bylaws or policies.
The appointment, compensation, and oversight of independent counsel or other external advisors as deemed necessary to carry out the Board's bylaws and policy development and monitoring duties.
